Morning Lecture

August 01, 2020

Cracked lips
By computer light
Your face looks so different
With those new glasses

Sit in the front of the room
Raise your hand
And answer all the questions
But don’t presume too much

Read lots of books
In the grand cavern
Using whatever light’s
Available.

To not be able to
Draw little stars on
Watch cartoons while
Dad makes breakfast.

Isn’t the worst thing
But in a room full of them
You wish to be the guy with the watch
And arms spread out, grabbing the packs of chairs

And you never will be.
Still draw little stars,
Wear new clues, will
Cartoon Network always be around?

No reason to believe
Rice and beans
Things get better
Your institution believes.

Photos of friends on the train
Rolling right along
Relative obscurity
You don’t know who Goku is
